Installation Issues

Having trouble installing CostSync? Here are solutions to common problems.

Installation Fails

Problem: The app won't install from the Shopify App Store.

Solutions:

  1. Ensure you have admin access to your Shopify store
  2. Check that you haven't reached your app limit
  3. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies
  4. Use a different browser

Permission Errors

Problem: Installation fails due to permission issues.

Solutions:

  1. Verify you're the store owner or have staff permissions for app installation
  2. Contact your store owner to request app installation permissions

Blank Screen After Install

Problem: CostSync shows a blank screen after installation.

Solutions:

  1. Wait a few minutes - initial sync may be in progress
  2. Refresh the page
  3. Clear browser cache
  4. Try accessing from a different browser
  5. Check if your browser blocks third-party cookies

Products Not Syncing

Problem: Products don't appear after installation.

Solutions:

  1. Wait 5-10 minutes for initial sync to complete
  2. Click the "Sync" button in CostSync dashboard
  3. Check if you have products in your Shopify store
  4. Verify products are published and not draft
