Reports

CostSync provides detailed reports to help you understand and improve your profitability.

Available Reports

Profit Overview

Your main profitability dashboard showing:

  • Total revenue
  • Total COGS
  • Gross profit
  • Profit margin
  • Trends over time

Product Performance

Analyze profitability by product:

  • Best-performing products by profit
  • Worst-performing products by margin
  • Revenue and cost breakdown per product
  • Product-level trends

Order Analysis

Detailed order-level reporting:

  • Order count and averages
  • Profit per order
  • Margin distribution
  • Low-margin order alerts

Supplier Analysis

Compare supplier costs:

  • Cost by supplier
  • Supplier price trends
  • Multi-supplier product comparison

Using Reports

Date Range Selection

All reports support custom date ranges:

  1. Click the date selector
  2. Choose preset (Today, Last 7 days, This month, etc.)
  3. Or select custom start and end dates
  4. Report updates automatically

Filtering

Filter reports to focus on specific data:

  • By product - Select specific products
  • By collection - Shopify collection filter
  • By supplier - Filter by supplier
  • By margin - Show only low/high margin items

Comparison

Compare periods to track performance:

  1. Enable Compare toggle
  2. Select comparison period
  3. View side-by-side metrics
  4. See percentage changes

Exporting Reports

Export any report for external use:

  1. Configure your report
  2. Click Export
  3. Choose format (CSV or Excel)
  4. Download the file

Scheduled Reports

Set up automatic report delivery:

  1. Go to Reports > Scheduled
  2. Click New Schedule
  3. Configure:
    • Report type
    • Frequency
    • Recipients
  4. Click Save

Scheduled reports are delivered via email.

Custom Reports

Pro plan users can create custom reports:

  1. Go to Reports > Custom
  2. Click New Report
  3. Select metrics and dimensions
  4. Configure filters
  5. Save your custom report

Report Tips

  • Check weekly - Review reports at least weekly
  • Set benchmarks - Establish target margins to track against
  • Act on insights - Use report data to adjust pricing
  • Export for taxes - Export annually for tax preparation
