Configure how and when CostSync synchronizes data with your Shopify store.
Automatic Sync
CostSync automatically syncs with Shopify to keep your data up to date.
What Gets Synced
- Products - New products and updates
- Orders - New orders and status changes
- Inventory - Stock level changes
Sync Frequency
By default, CostSync syncs:
- Orders: Every 15 minutes
- Products: Every hour
- Inventory: Every hour
You can adjust these in Settings > Sync Preferences.
Manual Sync
Trigger a manual sync when you need immediate updates:
- Click the Sync button in the top navigation
- Select what to sync (All, Products, Orders, or Inventory)
- Wait for the sync to complete
ℹ️
Note
Manual syncs are rate-limited to prevent API overload. Wait at least 5 minutes between manual syncs.
Sync History
View your sync history to troubleshoot issues:
- Go to Settings > Sync Preferences
- Click View Sync History
- See timestamps, types, and status of recent syncs
Sync Status Indicators
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Completed | Sync finished successfully |
| In Progress | Sync currently running |
| Failed | Sync encountered an error |
| Partial | Some items synced, some failed |
Troubleshooting Sync Issues
If syncs are failing:
- Check your Shopify connection status
- Verify API permissions are still active
- Review error messages in sync history
