Payment & Invoicing

How does billing work?

CostSync uses Shopify's built-in billing system. This means:

  • Charges appear on your regular Shopify invoice
  • No separate payment method needed
  • Billing managed through Shopify

When am I charged?

You're charged at the beginning of each billing cycle (monthly or annual, depending on your selection).

Can I get a receipt?

Yes, receipts are available in your Shopify admin under Settings > Billing.

Free Trial

Is there a free trial?

Yes! All paid plans include a 14-day free trial. No credit card required.

What happens after the trial?

At the end of your trial:

  • You can choose to subscribe to a paid plan
  • Or continue with the Free plan
  • Your data is preserved either way

Plan Changes

Can I change plans anytime?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes take effect immediately.

How is proration calculated?

When you upgrade mid-cycle:

  • You're charged the prorated difference
  • The new rate applies from the change date

When you downgrade:

  • Credit is applied to your next invoice
  • New limits apply immediately

What if I exceed my plan limits?

If you exceed your monthly order limit:

  • You'll receive a notification
  • Orders are still tracked
  • You're prompted to upgrade
  • Excess orders may have limited features on Free plan

Cancellation

How do I cancel?

  1. Go to Settings > Plan & Billing
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Confirm cancellation

What happens to my data?

After cancellation:

  • Your data is retained for 30 days
  • You can reactivate within this period
  • After 30 days, data is permanently deleted

Can I get a refund?

We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis. Contact support within 7 days of your charge to request a refund.

Enterprise & Custom Plans

Do you offer enterprise plans?

Yes! For high-volume stores or specific requirements, contact us for custom pricing.

Do you offer discounts?

  • Annual billing: Save 20% compared to monthly
  • Non-profits: Contact us for special pricing
