Installing CostSync

This guide walks you through installing CostSync on your Shopify store.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

• An active Shopify store
• Store owner or staff account with app installation permissions

Installation Steps

Step 1: Find CostSync in the Shopify App Store

1. Visit the Shopify App Store
2. Search for "CostSync"
3. Click on the CostSync app listing

Step 2: Install the App

1. Click the Add app button
2. Review the permissions requested
3. Click Install app to confirm

Step 3: Initial Setup

After installation, you'll be guided through the initial setup:

1. Choose your costing method - Select FIFO, LIFO, or Average Cost
2. Set your currency preferences - Configure your base currency
3. Configure timezone - Ensure reports use your local time

Post-Installation

Once installed, CostSync will:

• Sync your existing products from Shopify
• Create an orders queue for COGS calculation
• Set up default reporting periods
